We currently have ten out camps, which are either log cabins or wall tents. They are purposefully placed throughout Ptarmigan Valley and are anywhere from 1.5 miles to 45 miles away from the lodge. All of our out camps are complete with plywood floors, plywood bunks that have 4" foam pads on them, dinner table with chairs, counter and cook space with either a Coleman stove or 4-burner propane stove, and a wood burning stove. Most of our camps also have showers and 1000-watt generators to charge batteries. They provide a comfortable yet rustic stay and are some of the nicest out camps in remote Alaska. An overnight stay at an out camp is often a highlight of the week for Lodge guests, especially families. Your guide will take care of all logistics and details so you can enjoy the rugged wilderness, view wildlife and star gaze.
