Welcome to Rainy Pass Lodge

Picture
                      Alaska's Oldest Recreation Lodge

Located 125 air miles northwest of Anchorage, Alaska, MAP.  Rainy Pass Lodge takes you back to a time when all of North America was untouched by man's hands — wild, magnificent and rugged. The Lodge is a comfortable, rustic setting that enables you to experience the heart of Alaska. No roads, just mountains, glaciers, wildlife, horseback rides, hiking, fishing and outdoor games. Just imagine relaxing amid the majesty of the Alaska Mountain Range. We are here to make sure you are comfortable, well fed, and wonderfully worn out at the end of each day.  We would love to help you fulfill all your Alaska Dreams - we hope you join us soon in one the most remarkable places on earth.

Remarkable
History

Picture
2018 marks the 80th year of operation for Rainy Pass Lodge!  Guided hunts have been in operation here since the 1920's but Bud Branham, a legend among Alaska's Guides and bush pilots, officially founded it in 1937. Vern Humble owned and operated the lodge from 1977 until the Perrins' family purchased it in 2003. In 2012, the Alaska State Legislature commemorated Rainy Pass Lodge as Alaska's Oldest Hunting Lodge.
The Rainy Pass area is also very historic. The actual Rainy Pass is one of the lowest passes in this section of the Alaska Mountain Range and was used as a path for sled dogs to bring an anti-toxin to Nome during the 1925 Serum Run.  Rainy Pass Lodge and other Road Houses were also of extreme importance for the dog sled mail route that serviced the villages in Western Alaska.  We hope you will join us and experience the rich history and Alaskan culture that this area has to offer.

Giving Back

Rainy Pass Lodge understands the importance of giving back to its community.  That is why we are involved with several organizations to help ensure the sustainability of our wildlife and habitat.  We want your grandchildren to enjoy this amazing place as much as we have.

R5Sons, Alaska

Rainy Pass Lodge and The Perrins' Family were also featured in one of Alaska's first reality shows.  R5Sons, Alaska was a non-scripted television show about their life operating a remote lodge in the Alaska wilderness.

"To create lasting memories of a true Alaskan wilderness dream vacation, accompanied by first class service and a joyful attitude in one of the most
